Welcome to Your Mount Laurel Emergency Information Website
Mount Laurel Office of Emergency Management Officials have made a commitment to improve communications with our residents. We want to provide our residents with important information during emergencies as well as preparedness tools and information. The Mount Laurel Office of Emergency Management is utilizing several different services to notify and alert the public of important and timely information.
The Ready or Not website that you are on currently will be utilized as the primary communication tool to provide our residents with emergency management information. This site includes many links to information to help you and your family be better prepared for emergencies. Links to this website have been posted on many of the township department and agency website home pages. The Ready or Not Log posted on web pages will spin when important community information, alerts and notifications have been posted on the website. Under the “Critical Updates & Alert” button at the top of the home page important documents related to our community notification, alerts are posted. Saved this website to your favorites!
Nixle is a free service that we are utilizing to send out alerts, advisories, traffic and community information via text messages and e-mails for incidents impacting Mount Laurel Township. To register go to www.nixle.com .
Lastly, in cooperation with the Burlington County Office of Emergency Management we are utilizing Global Connect a web-based voice messaging service to alert and notify our residents to local emergencies, especially when a emergency action such as evacuations and/or in place sheltering made need to be taken. This is a “Reverse 9-1-1” System that will call every home and buisness (all land line phone numbers are in the data base that is updated frequently) in an identified area with a voice message. If you wish to also receive these messages on your cell phones go to www.co.burlington.nj.us/pages/ps/globalconnect.htm to have this number added.
The staff of the Mount Laurel Office of Emergency Management is here to serve and protect our residents. However, we need your help. Be prepared, have a plan, stay informed and to be connected to receive direction from your local emergency officials.
Respectfully,
Francis W. Pagurek
